This unique liqueur is a beautiful amalgamation of fresh British damsons steeped with our signature London Dry No.7 and a touch of sugar, creating a symphony of flavours that dance on the palate.
A Glimpse into Damsons
Originating from ancient civilisations and later introduced to Britain by the Romans, damsons are small, tart, plum-like fruits known for their distinctive rich flavour. Traditionally, they've been used in jams, jellies, and desserts. And now, in gin!
DIY Damson Gin
- Fill a clean jar with fresh damsons.
- Add sugar, adjusting to your preferred sweetness.
- Pour in Nelson's London Dry No.7 until the damsons are submerged.
- Seal the jar and let it sit in a cool, dark place. Shake it occasionally and allow the damsons to infuse for about 3 months.
- Once infused, strain the mixture, bottle it, and enjoy your homemade Damson Gin!
Sip the Damson Royale
- 25ml Nelson's Damson Gin
- Sparkling wine
Fill a chilled Champagne flute with your favourite sparkling wine and top with Nelson's Damon Gin.
