Yes! Our shop is based at our Gin/Vodka & Rum School in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire.

Monday - Saturday 10:00 am - 15:00 pm

Nelson's Gin, Vodka & Rum School is a 5-hour educational and interactive experience where guests make their very own bottle of Gin, Vodka or Rum.

Nelson's Tour, Talk & Tastes allow you to explore behind the scenes of our award-winning distillery and sample what we make.

Tours run every last Saturday of the month. |16:00 pm - 18:00 pm

All guests attending Nelson's Gin/Vodka & Rum School and Tour, Talk & Tastes must be 18+
When booking your experience you will be asked to confirm this.

Nelson's implements a strict Check 25 policy and will require photographic ID on request.

Nelson's Gin/Vodka & Rum School Uttoxeter, Staffordshire can hold up to 14 Single Still guests or 28 Shared Still guests.

Nelson's Tour, Talk & Taste can host up to 28 guests.

A Single Still refers to a single person attending Nelson's Gin/Vodka & Rum School and making 1x70cl bottle of Gin or Vodka.

A Shared Still refers to two guests attending Nelson's Gin/Vodka & Rum School and jointly making 1x70cl bottle of Gin or Vodka.

Nelson's Gift Certificates have a 12-month expiry from the date of purchase.

If your Gift Certificate is close to expiring you can extend it a further 3 months for a fee of £25.
If your voucher has expired then you will need to repurchase your Gin & Vodka School Experience.

Orders are processed within 24 hours (excluding weekends) and shipped out using Royal Mail 48 Tracked at a standard rate of £5.99. A tracking number will be sent with your dispatch order confirmation.

Orders over £100 automatically receive free delivery.

Click & Collect orders incur no delivery cost and are processed within 24 hours (excluding weekends). You will receive an email notification when ready to collect. Orders can be collected Monday - Saturday 09:00 - 15:00

Returns & Refund policy

Nelson's does not offer returns on items sold in-store or online. This includes E-Gift Certificates and E-Gift Cards.

Nelson's only accepts exchanges in-store and within 30 days of purchase. Proof of purchase is required.

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately with photographic evidence if the item is defective, or damaged or if you received the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

  • If the item was damaged we will issue a replacement ASAP (must include photographic evidence).
  • If the package has been rejected, we cannot issue a replacement until we receive the rejected goods.
  • If the item is incorrect we will organise a pre-paid returns label for the incorrect item and send out a replacement once the goods are returned.

Experience vouchers and direct bookings of Nelson’s Gin/Vodka & Rum School and Tour, Talk & Taste are non-refundable.

Nelson's implements a strict 48-hour policy on all experiences. Any person wishing to move or amend their booking must contact us up to 48 hours before the event or incur an admin fee. Changes made before the 48-hour policy will not be charged. 

Gift Certificates for Nelson's experiences can be extended for a further 3 months but will also incur an admin fee.

Talk & Taste admin fee = £10
Gin & Vodka School admin fee = £25

Those who wish to cancel altogether or fail to attend will subsequently forfeit their Nelson's Experience with no refund.

This policy applies to all activities of Nelson’s Distillery and School and the services it provides.
The policy impacts all our stakeholders including employees, clients and suppliers and is an
an integral part of our strategy for achieving our company vision:

The senior management of the business recognise the importance of protecting the environment
and ensuring that the environmental impact of our activities is kept to an absolute minimum. We
shall strive to achieve this through our ongoing commitment to:


  • Comply with all relevant legislation, regulations and where applicable, codes of practice.
  • Continually review and asses our environmental impacts, taking the opportunity to reduce
    them as they present themselves.
  • Influence our key suppliers to improve their environmental performance, by adopting an
    environmentally friendly procurement policy.
  • Make our associates aware of the importance of environmental protection by providing
    necessary training.
  • Strive to reduce our consumption of resources used, including energy, fuel, water, paper and minimise waste generation.

The above principles and shall be translated into practice through our adoption of a series of
practical steps including:

  • Paper usage: Two-sided printing where possible, in black and white whenever feasible.
  • Adoption of a paperless process where possible. Ensuring paper waste is recycled and
    that recycled paper is procured from suppliers.
  • Waste Management: Ensure that all waste associated with our activities is separated at
    source for recycling.
  • Energy Usage:
    Lights switched off when not required.
  • Replacement of flickering, din or failed fluorescent/incandescent bulbs with low
    energy LED lights.
  • Reduce thermostat setting by 1°C.
  • Switching off equipment when not in use.
  • Procuring equipment that caters for current business needs and predicted
    requirements only.
  • Water Usage: taps turned off when not in use and introduction of a save-a-flush system
    in toilets.
  • Fuel Usage: judicious use of business travel using alternatives such as video call where
    possible.
  • When business travel is required, public transport options should be considered
    over the car when feasible.
  • Procurement: The environmental credentials of our suppliers are continually assessed as part of
    our procurement policy.
  • Environmental Performance: establishing a continual improvement programme
    monitoring performance annually against compliance with KPIs.
  • Supply chain: threats and improvements in environmental performance checked with
    suppliers and clients.
